Cavmont Bank Limited, whose complete name is Cavmont Capital Bank Limited (CCBL), but which is commonly referred to as Cavmont Bank, is a commercial bank in Zambia. It is one of the commercial banks in the country, licensed by the Bank of Zambia, the national banking regulator.[1]

CCBL provides an array of banking services including in the areas of community banking, retail banking, investment, merchant and corporate banking. As of December 2010[update], the bank was a retail bank with total assets valued in excess of US$44 million (ZMK:222.5 billion), with shareholders' equity of approximately US$4.8 million (ZMK:24.5 billion).[2] The bank employed 206 people in 2011.[3]
The Bank was established in 2004, when Cavmont Merchant Bank Limited and New Capital Bank Plc., both of which had been established in 1992, merged to form one universal bank.[4]
CCBL is a 100% subsidiary of Cavmont Capital Holdings Zambia Plc. (CCHZ). The investors in CCHZ, and therefore in CCBL, include Capricorn Investment Holdings (CIH), a financial conglomerate with investment interests in three Southern African countries: Botswana, Namibia and Zambia. CIH owns controlling interests in Bank Gaborone in Botswana and Bank Windhoek in Namibia, in addition to its minority shareholding in Cavmont Capital Holdings Zambia Plc. The stock of the holding company, CCHZ, is Listed on the Lusaka Stock Exchange (LuSE), where it trades under the symbol: CCHZ.
